Based in Worcester city centre, Leila Rae, is a boutique that sells unique, beautiful, handmade children’s clothing for young girls and their mums. All the garments are designed and created by couturier and business owner, Sophie Jenkins.
The aim for this business owner was to launch their first business by opening up a high street retail store.
An Impetus loan helped this creative business meet its aim by renting an appropriate location, paying for the interior decoration and (cost effectively) purchasing fabric in bulk to create stock.
The difference made
Quite simply this loan enabled the recipient to ‘set up shop’. It took them over the initial and common stumbling block of not having enough early stage cash to cover core start up costs.
Business owner, Sophie Jenkins said:
“The Impetus start up loan helped me achieve something that I would never have been able to do by myself. Opening up my first store in the prettiest street in Worcester is a dream come true and I can’t thank the Impetus team enough!”
